Last Girl Scout meeting.

Meghan was kind of sad today at her last Girl Scout meeting in AZ. She had a good time but I could tell she was thinking about it during the meeting. It was their Christmas party meeting and they also recieved the badges they have earned up to this point. Tina the leader had gotten a Girl Scout hat for Meghan and had all the other girls sign it for her. She loved it. The girls all brought some sort of food to share, they were able to choose what they wanted to bring. Meghan chose to bring fruit. Meghan had also made all the girls a little pillow so she was able to pass those out too.

A cold horse show

On Sunday we had a trip planned to the horse event at West World. They had a Girl Scout day and we learned that almost all little girls love horses. So we got up, made a lunch and took off to West World. Well it was freezing, (to us). We were there for about an hour before we decided we weren't going to make it very long and left. When we got home I checked the weather and it said it was 48 degrees in Scottsdale and the high was going to be 54. So yea it was cold. Anyways, Meghan loved seeing the horses and we did get to watch part of a little show. Here are a few pictures from that.

This years Santa picture

Well we went early, were only 3rd in line. Everyone is in a good mood... but Kaden wouldn't sit still for one second and take a picture. He did not want to sit on Santa's lap at all. He would instantly squirm down. So I snapped a couple pictures to show what he was doing. I think they they took close to 15 pictures or more trying to quickly get one. We finally moved him on the other side of Meghan and got one kind of decent. haha

December rush

We have been pretty busy. I think we are pretty much taking the next couple weeks off from school. At least anything big. We have little worksheets and things related to Christmas to do along with crafts and things.

She also had her music recital. Here are a few pictures from that. They didn't come out that great but that's OK. She had a good time. It was funny listening to her on the way to the retirement home. She was nervous about being in front of people and was imagining tons of people and a big stage, even though I told her it wasn't going to be like that.

This week has been very busy too. On Sunday I had my cake clubs Christmas meeting. it was a lot of fun. I got to go by myself for one. :) We had a cookie exchange and made a few different little projects to bring home. We also had a potluck lunch.

On Tuesday Meghan had swimming. She has finished her swimming lessons for the year. She had so much fun and I know she would love to keep going. Her teacher gave her and Joe a dolphin Christmas ornament. They were both very excited. Tracy is a great teacher, if anyone in the area is looking for someone.

Tuesday afternoon my brother Matt and his wife Glenda and their little girl Lily arrived. They have come out to spend some time here through Christmas and they will help us pull all of our stuff out to OK, when we move after Christmas. It has been fun to have them around and the kids love playing together.

Thursday Meghan had a field trip to the Phoenix Theater. We saw The Quiltmakers Gift. It was really cute and Meghan loved it! It was the first time she had seen a play I believe. Then this morning we went Christmas Caroling at a retirement home. They really seemed to enjoy it and everyone brought cookies and snacks to share afterwards. Tonight we are going to our friends church to see their Christmas program.

Some new pages

Here are some new pages I have done. I have been working on gifts too but can't show those yet, maybe after Christmas!

Santa pictures and more

We went to take the kids to the mall to see Santa. Meghan was excited, Kaden wanted to run around. When it was their turn though Nathan put Kaden on Santa's lap and he immediately went limp and slid off. He didn't cry or scream but every time he was put up there he got right back down. He did not want to sit on his lap. They took at least 15 pictures just trying to get a good one and one with him looking at the camera. I finally suggested putting him on the other side of Meghan. So we were able to get an OK one that way. I took a couple pictures while they were trying to get him to be still too so you can see how it went. haha

Other than that we have been pretty busy. We've had shopping to do, classes to attend... Meghan has had her last music class. I am kind of relieved because it was really hard to get from swimming to music and make it on time. Meghan will have a recital on Saturday at a retirement home and then music will be done for us. They start back in January and we'll be gone before that. She has had a great time with the class though.
She has one more swimming class. She has been really enjoying that. She has had a couple times where there was something she wasn't sure she could do but the teacher got her to work through it and she was fine. I am very proud of her and a little sad she has to stop but we will plan to find her classes next summer if we can. I took a couple pictures of her at one of her classes and I will be trying to get a few more next week.

Meghan on the Move!

Meghan has really been practicing for the past week riding her bike. She just decided she was determined all of a sudden. So yesterday she finally has it! She is very proud of herself and we are very proud of her too!

More tummy

Okay so I took a couple more pics because I just feel huge all of a sudden. A couple friends have said I look about the same but maybe the baby changed postitions and I actually think she has. She was kicking lower and now I feel more on my right, around my ribcage area.

Kaden fell today. Well he falls a lot. He either was reaching for his cup on the table and slipped and hit his head on the window sill or he hit it under the table because he likes to go under there even though he is too tall now. Either way he busted it open and it was bleeding. Freaked me out but he seems fine and it's not gashing or anything so we think no stitches. I'll try and get a picture of it tomorrow of course. poor guy.

Tot Tote carrier

Isn't this cute! I saw this on another blog and had to share. Jenna from Tweetie Pie Baby makes these carriers with her mom. It allows her to stay home with her kids plus they are super cute. I think I may try to get a girly one before our new little girl gets here. I love the Tot Tote but they have a couple other styles too plus some clothing and other items. Check it out!

Some tummy shots

I had Meghan take a couple pictures today. Her dad is slacking. :) Yes we are getting big!

Not a whole lot going on really other than every day boring stuff that I am sure no one wants to hear about. :) We have started packing up some things. We will more than likely be leaving here before the end of December so thats not really a lot of time for packing. Plus all the holidays between then and now too. I am a planner, usually, and hate to do things at the last minute. So I have started some of that. For the past couple weeks one or the other of the kids hasn't been feeling well so we've been dealing with that too. You just don't get much done if people aren't feeling well. They have only had colds though so nothing serious.

Meghan is still taking swimming... I am not sure how long they will be able to go. Although they do use a heated pool. She is doing really well though and I will try to find some classes for her after we move too and it's warmed up. I think it would be good for Kaden to start soon also. She loves her music class too, which is right after swimming so we are usually rushing over there. They are going to get to have a recital in December so I think she will have fun with that.

Thats about it really. I am glad we school year round since we have missed some from being sick or too busy. Also with the move and everything I am sure we'll miss some more.

The State Fair

On the 22nd we went to the State Fair. It was a planned field trip through our homeschool group.

I had my regular drs appointment on the 23rd. Everything is looking good. I had to let her know about our move. The good thing about it is that I will see her every time before we leave instead of sometimes seeing the nurse practitioner. It's a bummer though, I wish she was going to be bringing this baby into the world. :) She is very understanding though so it was a good appointment.

We went to Matthew and Shanna's wedding on Friday. I didn't take any pictures but I am sure someone will share some with me. :) It was really pretty, everyone had fun. Meghan and Kaden danced with Lauren and Caitlyn and had a blast.

It's A GIRL!!

On the 16th, even though my head wanted to explode, I had my ultra sound appointment. My ultra sounds and lab work are done in Scottsdale, not far from us so that is nice. Since my Dr is in Chandler which is not that close. Anyways, we found out we are having another little girl! Meghan was so excited and happy. She had been saying the baby was a girl the whole time. In the office she was giggling after the ultra sound tech. told us. It was cute! Everything else looks normal as well. :) Here's to a healthy baby girl! I have to get Nathan to scan the ultra sound pictures still and then I will post some.

On the 19th we went to a birthday party. It was for Alexi, Sabrina's daughter. She does my hair and I do their cakes so I made her cake. The party was at Skateland in Mesa. I didn't think we would be there long because the last time i took Meghan to a skating party she was discouraged and took her skates off quickly. This time she kept getting up and trying over and over. She had a great time and we were there the whole party time.

On the 21st Meghan started swimming lessons. I really wish we would have found this woman in the summer but late is better than never right? She has been two weeks now and she is doing great! Tuesdays are pretty rushed because of that. After she gets out of swimming she has to change quick and we have to go to music. They are going to have a recital on Dec. 6th so I think she will like that.

Shamrock Farms

On the 14th we had a field trip to Shamrock Farms. Nathan took the morning off to go to that. That is the day that I started to get sick too.
