Family pictures

I decided we needed to take a few pictures all together yesterday. I have to make plans for this stuff or else I never get to be in any pictures anyways. :) So here are a few. You can see how green it has gotten also and our garden.

Busy Days

First I am going to share a few pictures of Ellie. She is always smiling and playing now.

Here are a few with all three. They have Nutella all over their faces. We did a study from our Five in a Row Curriculum on Madeline. So they learned that they eat Nutella there. I plan to blog more about that later. I haven't usually talked a whole lot about what they are learning but I plan to start. We will finish that unit up today and then I will post more.

We have had a busy week/weekend out here. Last week my brother Matt and his family moved into a house. They are buying a 4 bedroom house a couple hours away. We will miss them being close but I know they are going to love having all that room. They also have some land there and plan to have some animals and a garden and they have a fenced yard for the kids. I know I miss having a fenced yard! So we were busy last week helping them pack the truck up, (they moved on Thursday), and then also going to look for appliances for us.
Also on Thursday my brother Josh and my sil Teresa had their little boy! He is a cutie! His name is Joseph Ray and he looks just like his daddy,(Joshua Ray). I am going to share a couple pictures of them. :)

Strawberry Festival

On the 9th we went to the Stilwell Strawberry Festival. It was the first time going to that. They weren't selling many strawberries though because it had been raining so much they weren't growing as well as they should have. It was fun thought. The rain held off until after the parade and then went away for a while so we could walk around. I think the highlight for the kids was the parade, Meghan loved seeing all the horses and catching candy. Other than that we walked around looking at what people were selling. Nathan has a turkey leg and Meghan rode on a little push type train thing. Kaden and Meghan had a pony ride too. Meghan wants a horse really bad. :)

Some pictures from the parade. They had a bunch of Model-T Ford's and old tractors.

Someone had music on a float or something and Meghan started dancing crazy. haha

It's Wednesday....

Nothing special going on here. Well Nate and Meghan went to get a dryer. Other than that not much. I am hoping Kaden will nap soon. :)

Here is pictures from our garden. I haven't gone to take more pictures since all the rain we have been having. I am sure it is bigger now.
Here is before...

and after...

Here are a couple pictures of an Oklahoma spring... :)

Mental Health Day

Well a couple of days actually. Nate decided we should go to Tulsa and hang out and have some fun for my Mother's Day gift. I told him he is just confirming suspicion that I am spoiled. HAHA He says I am not spoiled but he likes to try and spoil me. (awww) I tried to talk him out of it, saying it wasn't the most responsible thing we could be doing right now when we have other things to spend our money and time on but he wasn't listening. So we drove up and stayed. I got to go to Hobby Lobby and get my Secret Sister (or is it Scrapper?) her gift. I also found an awesome Christian bookstore/learning store. They have everything you need to teach your kids. I was in there for an hour at least before I made myself leave. I think I could be almost as addicted to teaching supplies as I am to scrap booking. I was able to look through a lot of curriculum too that I had heard about and not seen. It was nice and I think for next year I will have a few things to add to our schooling. :) I love teaching our kids!

We were able to go out to dinner last night and Ellie actually slept through most of it and wasn't screaming for the rest. So yay for that one. This morning I went to get my hair cut. (at the mall, long time since I have been in a mall) I am not sure I love it. It's really hard to get someone you like to cut your hair so I hate having to find someone new. Especially it seems for curly hair. Some people know how to cut it and others... well they just don't. I like the length but it seems a little blunt. Either way my hair grows really fast so I am sure it'll be fine. I'll enjoy messing with it a little more with it being shorter. You can tell I really need my highlights redone now though.

Other than that we are just hanging out. Nate went a got a few clothing items he needed. He really needed them too. He hardly ever will buy clothes for himself. He made breakfast this morning too. YUM He has actually been making breakfast just about every day since we had Ellie. I can only think of two days that he didn't make breakfast and we had bagels. He also shaved this week, finally. He's been on a 2 month strike I think. He wanted to let it grow just to see how long it could get and how it would feel. He got tired of it though and I am happy about that! Not a hairy man fan. LOL

Oh and he took me to get a new phone too. My old phone would no longer hold a charge. So I had to have it plugged in to the charger while using it. So I got a blackberry (a pretty red one)and I am now added onto his calling plan so we share minutes. So far I like it and it can do more than my other one. This is the first time I have had what they call a "smart" phone. One of the reasons I wanted it was for the GPS. When we start getting more involved with field trips and things out here that will come in handy.

Well I guess that's all for now. Tomorrow it will be back to reality for us. I guess he might spoil me a little bit once in a while huh. I don't mind. ;)

Book Giveaway

My friend Julia is having a book giveaway on her blog. Check it out!

Sweet As Punkin Pie

She is giving away a money saving book that looks really cool. I love this kind of book and we can all use money saving ideas and tips. Oh and the rest of her blog is fun too. :)

First haircut,bubbles and more...

Kaden had his first haircut. He didn't care for it but his hair did look better afterwards. We didn't get it too even because he would not stop trying to get away but it looked nicer anyways. A bonus is that he doesn't look too grown up which I was worried about. I pushed the haircut off for a while because of it. Ignore the hairy barber behind him. haha

Here is Ellie with my OB who delivered her. He is a great doctor, we really like him.

Kids and bubbles...

Ellie at 5 weeks.

Sleeping babies and Ellie's 1st bath

I do like pictures of babies sleeping. I know Kaden isn't really a baby anymore but I am putting his in here too. :)

Here is Ellie having her first bath. Well kind of. I could not get a picture of her in the bath because she screams the entire time, as soon as she is undressed. She hates taking a bath... So here is where she took her first bath.

Here she is all clean and out of that bath.

And here is how she really felt about it. I had to put her down and get her clothes on but she wasn't quite over being upset yet. :)
