Classic Meg
Ok this was the video I was trying to share a few days ago. I think I finally figured it out! This is Meghan in April 06, she had just turned 4. She was so funny. I am calling this "Classic Meg" (have you seen the SNL skit with "Classic Peg"? haha ). Please ignore how dorky I sound laughing! Enjoy!

Chocolate Gravy Breakfast
One day last week I decided to introduce my kids to chocolate gravy. When I was a kid we would occasionally stay the night at my grandparents house. Usually it was a holiday or special occasion. For breakfast my grandma would make the kids homemade biscuits and chocolate gravy. YUM! So far my kids didn't know anything about it so I wanted to share it with them. I made my own biscuits too. I am happy, they turned out perfectly! Here is a picture of our breakfast.
After I was done making the biscuits I let them play with the little bits of leftover dough and flour. They played the whole time the biscuits baked and I made the gravy.
Here they are eating it up!

Another preschool activity
Here is another activity bag I put together for Kaden. I bought some pom poms and these little snack cups with lids at the dollar store. He will sort the colors into seperate cups. I started with two colors and once he masters those I have two more colors. I just put all these items in a ziplock bag and we can grab it whenever we want to do it.

Time To Laugh
I had to share this picture of Meghan. This just totally shows how she was/is. This was April of 06, Meghan was 4. So funny. I will share a video too if I can figure out how to get it on here. Enjoy!

Preschool activity bags
I got this idea from Ami at Walking By The Way. I used scrap booking scraps to make mine. I had to color the squares with crayons because our printer is black and white only, although I could have used scraps with the words written there also. There are magnets on the back of each color so that Kaden can play with it on a cookie sheet and they will stick.
I love the idea of the preschool activity bags. It's just another thing we can use to keep him busy and happy. He is so into things and active now that I really have to give him things to do, rather than just letting him play on his own all the time.

Swine flu vaccine info.
This website has a lot of information on the vaccine including ingredients, how long they will test it before using and the plan for vaccinating in schools. They also have information on the recommendation, (by the government) to get this one and also some other flu vaccines. There are not going to be tests to see the effects of multiple flu vaccines. Please check it out and make your own choice.

New this week...
First I am just going to say that I haven't been posting every day because sometimes my pictures just won't load. Sorry! It is just the unpredictability of out Internet. So today I loaded a picture at a time. You may see more posts from me that don't have pictures though because I would like to have posts more often... Onto the pictures!
Kaden helped me make cookies once last week. I haven't really had only him helping me with baking so that was fun. He wants to help cook and bake all the time so he really enjoyed it. Meghan thought she should do it but I thought just this once we'd let him do it on his own. She helps me all the time with baking.
Meghan working on her spelling. This is the first year that we have had a formal spelling curriculum. She is going to be using SpellingCity.com for practice too.
Ellie is sitting up more now. She sat up in my lap on the 4th of July but now she is sitting up more on her own. We sit her on the floor in the curve of the boppy pillow so that she won't get hurt when she falls over. She is still kind of wobbly and it's funny to see her fall over when she lunges for something she sees on the floor. She is very happy to be sitting up on her own.
Ellie having cereal again. This time she looks happier about it. She seems to like it. She tried some banana one day and she did not like that. She wouldn't take her spoon anymore. So we'll just stick to cereal for now. I am not pushing solids to hard. I did buy a cool little gadget though. It is a stick blender but it has a small food processor attachment and also a cup to use for smoothies and milk shakes. I am going to use it for making baby food but we have already used it for making my Mother in laws hot sauce. It is a great thing, I love it. I like it so much because it is small and can be used for so many things.

Scrapping news
I have been trying to get in some scrap time lately. I need something to de-stress and relax so I have been making time to do this. Here are some of the pages I have done. As you can tell I have been working on a lot of Meghan's baby pictures.
These next two were scraplifts of layouts my friend Shanna did.
This is a scraplift of another friend Kelly's layout.
